Student Members are required to…

Be studying an AJSTI-approved advanced course in Jungian Sand Therapy.

Engage with the levels of supervision dictated by their course requirements.

Be guided in their client work by the AJSTI Code of Ethics.

Maintain appropriate levels of Therapist Practitioner insurance.

Associate Members are required to…
-
Have a Professional Qualification and be accredited — or working towards accreditation — with a recognised counselling/ psychotherapeutic body.

Have completed or be studying an AJSTI-approved advanced course in Jungian Sand Therapy and be actively working under the appropriate levels of supervision.

Engage with the levels of supervision dictated by their course requirements.

Commit to attending, or have attended, no fewer than 20 hours of group supervision in an AJSTI-approved Supervision Group within 18 months of graduating an AJSTI- approved advanced course in Jungian Sand Therapy.

Be guided in their client work by the AJSTI Code of Ethics.

Maintain appropriate levels of Therapist Practitioner insurance.

Accredited Members are required to…

Have successfully completed an AJSTI-approved advanced course in Jungian Sand Therapy.

Have been an Associate Member of AJSTI or an equivalent body for no less than one year prior to application.

Have completed in their first 18 months post-graduation a minimum of 20 hours Group Supervision with an accredited Supervisor with Jungian sand therapy training.

In all subsequent years have participated in no fewer than 6 hours supervision annually, with at least 4 of these in group supervision for Jungian sand therapy and the remainder in individual supervision with an accredited Supervisor with Jungian Sand Therapy training.

Adhere to the standards and principles set out in the AJSTI Code of Ethics.

Maintain appropriate levels of Therapist Practitioner insurance.
Accredited Supervisors are required to…

Have held Associate Membership for a minimum of one year and be an Accredited Member or qualify for Accredited Membership.

Have actively engaged with the appropriate levels of Sand Therapy Supervision over the previous two years.

Hold a recognised qualification in Supervision in the Psychotherapeutic field.
-
Adhere to the standards and principles set out in the AJSTI Code of Ethics.

Maintain appropriate levels of Therapist Practitioner insurance.
Accredited Trainers are required to…
-
Have held Accredited Supervisor status for a minimum of two years.
-
Hold a recognised qualification in Supervision in the Psychotherapeutic field.

Have actively engaged with the appropriate levels of Sand Therapy Supervision over the previous three years and, in addition to the supervision levels required of all members annually, attend 2x1-hour supervision sessions in support of their role as a trainer.

Have completed a series of 12 personal sand trays with an accredited Jungian Sand Therapists (not necessarily a member of AJSTI) in the 18 months immediately prior to submitting an application for Trainer status.

Where sand training courses are concerned, undertake to only offer Jungian Sand Therapy courses.
